A Ghanaian journalist known as Albert has joined the unemployment ranks after he was sacked from his journalism job by his boss
His dismissal came after he clashed with seasoned journalist, Nana Aba Anamoah, who is also the manager of GHOne TV, and her colleagues. It all happened when the journalist auditioned for ‘The Next TV Stars’ series at GHOne premises. He was then asked to present a political show but before he could begin, Bridget Otoo interjected and the whole thing escalated.
Nana Aba Anamoah then read out a tweet by Albert which had been aimed at the fellow broadcaster, Serwaa Amihere, in which the journalist claimed to know what Serwaa had been up to in the country. However, Albert claimed that his social media life was different from his physical life in defense of the tweet. He stated that it was only an agenda that he was setting with that tweet.
However, his explanation was not accepted and he was evicted from the auditions. After the eviction, his woes continued when his boss terminated his employment, stating that Albert had ceased to be a journalist for him from that day onwards. This was announced in a statement that was posted on Facebook by Chris Handler, the employer of Albert.
