Dancehall singers, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, are no strangers to controversy and beef.
The pair famously caused an awards ceremony to come to a standstill after Stonebwoy pulled out a gun when Shatta Wale attempted to mount the stage.
Although the pair were made to put their differences behind them, it seems that all is not really calm.
Shatta Wale has recently referred to his counterpart Stonebwoy as a copycat artiste who has been stealing his ideas. In a video that was posted on his social media page, he accused Stonebwoy of stealing his ideas and tried to cement his claim by drawing attention to the fact that Stonebwoy released ‘1Gad’ after he Shatta Wale had earlier on released a song dubbed ‘1Don’
(The above name of songs are the nicknames of each artist respectively).
Shatta also said that everytime he did something, Stonebwoy always tried to imitate him.
These accusations were in response to an attack directed at him by Aisha Modi, a self acclaimed spokesperson to Stonebwoy who replies anything that comes Stonebwoy’s way
