“We Raise By Lifting Others” Davido Gives Away Money Sent By Fans For His Birthday To Orphanages In Nigeria

A few days ago, Nigerian music superstar, David Adedeji Adeleke, known to fans across the world as Davido, requested money from his fans and colleagues in celebration of his 29th birthday. Davido playfully indicated that he wanted to clear his Rolls Royce from the Nigerian port.

The musician was stunned when fans and colleagues alike sent money to a bank account he had given to the tune of 200,000 million Naira within two days. However, to the surprise of most people, the singer has announced that he will be giving away all the money he received to orphanages across Nigeria.

Davido, who is also known as OBO (which means ‘son of a rich man’), made this known in a post on social media in which he detailed how the funds were to shared and as well as the people in charge of sharing it. He also revealed that he was adding an additional 50 million Naira to the amount, making a total of 250 million Naira to be shared to the orphanages across Nigeria.
